I’ve decided to start a new blog dedicated to just all things fashion, beauty, and food since thats what my loves are and that is the direction this blog decided to go.  I am not going to keep this blog for my personal life, since I can just use twitter.

OOTD: 8/28

This is a very delayed post from last Saturday when Brian went out to a party. I got my top from Wet Seal, skirt from American Eagle, ring from Forever 21.

Recently Bought: E.L.F. EyesLipsFace

I couple weeks ago I made two huge hauls from E.L.F. while they were having a sales.  On my first I got 10 eye shadow quads for free with any twenty dollar purchase, and the second had all their studio products 50% off.  So here is what I got:

Healthy  Glow Bronzing powder in  Warm Tan

Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Sun Kissed

Sun Kissed on left,  Warm Tan on right.  You can’t tell from the swatches, but both are really shimmery and I don’t think they would be good for contouring.

My lashes are like my pride and joy and I really do everything I can to make them look great everyday.  I heard rave reviews about this, and since my current curler is almost done with I got this and I can’t wait to use  it!

I bought this, not expecting the color it came in because the website named it “nicely nude” so I thought it’d be skin tone, but instead this is a very sheer, pink, french manicure color.  I put three coats on and you could still see my white tips.

I got this free gift when I referred three friends, but when I went to swatch it I think this is stale because it smelt AWFUL and was really runny no matter how much I shaked it.  I have another one of these in Lilac and it does not have this problem.

Eye Defining Brush, its actually pretty slim and I thought it’d be more dense, but I have not used it yet so I don’t know how it works.

I have no idea if this works, but I figured I would give it a try because at $1 there’s nothing to lose.

Here are the ten eye brightening quads I got free.  I have not used any yet, so I am not sure how the quality is.

I’ve been wanting this for months, but it was always sold out when I placed an order so when I found it in stock I jumped on it!

Sorry the lighting is so bad, but here are the blush swatches and from L to R: Fuchsia Fusion, Pink Passion, Meilow (?) Mauve, Gotta Glow

Now this is a repurchased product,  I’m not yet done with my first one but I cannot live without this product so I had to buy a back up and have it ready when I run out!

Eyebrow Lifter and Filler.  I’ve  used this a couple of times and I like it so far.

The 2 in 1  Conditioning Gloss are in colors  Supermodel and Love It.  I have used it once and so far I am not sure I really like these.  It’s very sheer and very sticky.

Brow kit with gel (darker brown) and a powder (lighter).

I have one gel eyeliner I love so I’d figure I would try some cream eyeliner.  I have not used them so I am not sure how well they last, but the purple came dried up so I already hate it.

So this was all so much stuff, and for so cheap too!  I can’t wait to try it all out.

August Loves & Loathes

I know this is a few days late, but school has been so so crazy and I have no time to do anything other than homework, class, and work  during the week. Also, with school starting this month I have not been using a lot of products either, just trying to be as simple as possible because I am usually too tired in the morning to go all out.  So, here are my August Favorites and Hates:

I am going to start with my all time favorite of the month.  Weeds!  I am so addicted to this show I cannot get enough!  This show is soo good, Brian and I started it about three weeks ago and were just about finished with season 4.  So far season 2 and 3 have been my favorite. I have no idea what I am going to do when we get caught up and I have to wait in between episodes and seasons instead of watching it whenever I please.

Cover Girl Eyeshadow trio in Shimmering Sands.  This is about $4 at drugstores.  If I even bother to wear eyeshadow, which I usually don’t, I have been using this compact.  I have also been using this for going out at night.  It gives a great shimmery, natural eye.  Love.

Hard Candy Baked Blush in Honeymoon. $7 at Walmart.  Now this is too sheer to be a blush for me, so everyday in August I used this as a highlighter to provide a nice sweep of color to reflect the sunlight.

Wet ‘n Wild nail polish.  I am not sure what the color is, but I posted it in a previous Walmart Haul.  The color looks great with my skintone and is just the perfect fall color, IMO.

Lately, I have been on a huge skincare kick and have been doing everything I can to get the best skin I can because I believe that no matter how great the make up, if you don’t take care of your skin it will show.  Now this isn’t any product in particular, I have just been loving my skincare routine and have had some serious skincare lemmings this month!

Now this product was a pervious hate, but I now love it!  I tried it a looong time ago and thought it was the worst mascara I have tried, however, due to all the hype and everyone else loving it, I decided to buy it again and I can’t get enough!

Now I have already made a post about this company and why I hate it.  I am not going to explain it all again, but basically I would never recommend this company to anyone!

Maybelline quad in Stylish Smokes.   Now this isn’t the product so much as how I think it looks on me.  I do not think I can pull off the dark, smoky look because I look like I have a black eye.  I also feel like the lid color is not very pigmented.

Well that’s all for August, not too many products but its what I used constantly!

August Lemmings

Since I have started my no-buy I find myself wanting a lot of products. I am going to start a monthly list of my current lemmings.  They may range from drugstore to high end, beauty to fashion, etc.  I am also hoping this will help with my desire to buy the products during my no-buy.  I feel like blogging about them will at least be able to keep them at bay for the time being.  Most of these products are already on my christmas/birthday wishlist which are both in December.  Anyway, here are this months lemmings:

  1. LORAC Private Affair Palette – $38 exclusively at  Sephora

  1. Kat Von D True Romance Palette in Ludwig – $34 at Sephora

  1. Urban Decay Naked Palette – $44 at Sephora, Ulta, or

  1. ApHogee Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer –  $5.99 at Sally Beauty Supply

  1. Queen Helenne Mint Julep Masque – $3.99 at Drugstores

  1. Philosophy On A Clear Day Skin System – $65 at

  1. Philosophy Purity Made Simple – $45.50 for a 32 oz at

grand total = $236.48

I guess I better get to saving.  I am hoping to get the palettes for my birthday and am planning to buy the Philosophy products myself while a sale is going on.

Recently Bought: Wet Seal

Before I went on my no-buy I purchased a few things that have been coming in the mail over the past couple weeks.  Today I am posting my little haul from Wet Seal while they were having an additional 30% off clearance items.  Since I am a poor college student, I only really buy clothes that are on sale to begin with and if you look you can find really great items.  So here’s what I bought:

So normally I would never buy jeans online.  I have a real problem with findings jeans that fit the way I want them to so I always need to try them on in store.  However, I have ordered jeans from Wet Seal before and they fit well so I decided to try another pair, the fact that they were only $10 also didn’t hurt.

I have seen soo many shirts with the detailing that this sweatshirt has on the shoulder and I thought this would just be so cute to throw on over leggings in the winter.  This was the most expensive item I bought, which was  $14 (still a steal).

This is the only shirt I have briefly tried on, and I think it may be my favorite out of all my items.  Its a crop top with the sides hanging down and is just so so cute with shorts.  I also love the straps and back of this shirt.

These vests are huge right now, along with knitted shirts, which is what this one  is, and would be perfect with almost anything – so cute!

Things I Love #9

Brian and I cancelled cable when we moved in together  and have been ordering tv shows from Netflix.  Currently we’ve been watching Weeds and I loooove it!  We just finished season two and I cannot get enough of this show! Everyone go watch it!
